About the Station

Muzium Negara MRT Station, underground station located near to National Museum and connected to KL Sentral Main Terminal by a covered 240 metres pedestrian walkway. KL Sentral is a main public transport hub for Kuala Lumpur. It's the transfer point for major rail systems including KLIA Express Rail Link, KLIA Transit, RapidKL LRT Kelana Jaya Line, KTM Komuter, KTM Intercity and KL Monorail Services.

The station has been built based on the underground Island Platform architecture.

Consistent with all the other stations in the underground stretch of the MRT KG line, the Muzium Negara Station was assigned its interior design theme of History of public transportation in Kuala Lumpur, probably as a reference to the station's proximity to KL Sentral and the National Museum.

The National Museum is a two-minute walk from the Station.

Entrance B, which is the main entrance, is located directly in front of the Muzium Negara.

The KL Sentral-Muzium Negara MRT station pedestrian link way leads directly to the station paid area and does not allow any passing through to access the Muzium Negara. To access the Muzium Negara from KL Sentral, pedestrians should use entrance A by walking through Menara CIMB and then go through the unpaid area of the station and then exit at entrance B to get to the Muzium Negara main entrance. The reverse applies for pedestrians going from the Muzium Negara to KL Sentral.

KL Sentral is spread over 72 acres of land bordered by Jalan Travers, Jalan Damansara and Jalan Tun Sambanthan, situated in the southwest of Kuala Lumpur City and just 1.5 km from the central business district. KL Sentral was designed as an inter-model transportation hub. Most of Kuala Lumpur's passenger rail lines serve KL Sentral, while many intercity trains serving Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore start here. KL Sentral is the largest railway station in Southeast Asia.

KL Sentral is fast evolving into an exciting and dynamic development where one will see and experience an integrated environment with:

 • Corporate Office Towers and Business Suites

 • Retail Malls & Serviced Apartments

All the railway components of the scheme have been completed, but some other parts such as shopping malls, offices and apartments.
