Paya Besar ECRL Station is located in the Paya Besar area of Pahang and forms part of the ECRL route between Kota Bharu and Gombak. The station is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion with the Phase 1 ECRL alignment. Passenger services are expected to commence in January 2027. Paya Besar is positioned north of Kuantan and will provide rail access to surrounding communities and development areas. The station is also identified as an area supporting high-technology industrial activities.

Nearby destinations include Gambang, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah and Bukit Gambang Resort City.
