Sri Petaling LRT Station
About the Station
Sri Petaling LRT Station is a light rail transit station operated by RapidKL serving the Salak South area, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This Station was opened on July 11, 1998, along with 7 other LRT Stations in Sri Petaling Line and was the former southern terminus for passenger services on the line until October 31, 2015. The Station is also the namesake for the LRT Line.
The Station is the start of the new LRT extension project (LEP) which extended the current terminus of the line to Putra Heights Station.
Vista Commonwealth Condominiums (formerly used as 1998 Commonwealth Games Athletes Village) and the International Medical University (IMU) is within walking distance to this Station.
Open air car parking bays are available in this Station.
• Side Platform
Ticket Vending Machine
Sri Petaling LRT Station was built as a low-rise station along two tracks for trains traveling in opposite directions. Because the Station is nearly subsurface and features two side platforms, the station designates individual ticketing areas for each of the Station's two platforms at their level, ensuring access to trains traveling the opposite direction is not freely possible.
The principal styling of the Station is similar to most other stations in the line, featuring multi-tiered roofs supported by latticed frames, and white plastered walls and pillars.
