Gombak LRT Station
About the Station
Gombak LRT Station is an elevated rapid transit station in northern Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia, forming part of the Kelana Jaya Line. The Station was
opened on 1 June 1999, as part of the line's second segment encompassing 13
stations between
Masjid Jamek Station and Gombak Station and an
underground line.
Terminal Bersepadu Gombak (TBG) is
directly connected to Gombak LRT Station on the Kelana Jaya Line via a
covered pedestrian walkway, providing convenient transfers between
long-distance express buses and the LRT network. The terminal also has bus
ticket counters and self-service ticket kiosks offering services to various
destinations, including Genting Highlands, with buses departing hourly to
Genting Skyway Station.
The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM/UIAM) main campus is
also located here. Gombak is also home to an aboriginal Orang Asli
settlement, and it is the site of the National Aboriginal Museum, Orang Asli
Museum.
A multi-storey car park with 1439 parking bay is available in this Station. Only Touch
'n Go cards were accepted for payment at the car park.

Platform Architecture
As an elevated station, Gombak LRT Station contains two levels: The access
points at street level, and the ticket area and adjoining platforms on the
two elevated levels. All levels are linked via stairways, escalators and
elevators designated for disabled passengers.
The Station uses a single
island platform for trains travelling in both directions of the line, and is
entirely sheltered by a gabled roof supported by latticed frames.
East Coast Rail Link (ECRL)
An East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) station is currently under construction near
the Gombak LRT station. Once completed, the station will be integrated with
the LRT station and Terminal Bersepadu Gombak (TBG), creating a convenient
interchange between the ECRL, LRT and intercity bus services.
The station will be located on the Gombak spur line of the
ECRL and will
serve as the terminus of the spur line, providing a direct rail connection
to the main ECRL route.
LRT Feeder Bus Services
The LRT feeder bus No.T200 and T201 connecting this Station
to IIUM Gombak and Pinggiran Batu Caves respectively.
Bus No. MPS01 (Smart Selangor provide services route to Bandar Baru
Selayang (Gombak Land and District Office)
from this Station as well.
Gombak LRT to Terminal Bersepadu Gombak (TBG) | Walking Guide
Gombak LRT Station is directly connected to Terminal Bersepadu Gombak (TBG)
by a covered pedestrian walkway. Passengers heading from the LRT station to TBG
can follow the directional signs from the station and continue through the
covered linkway to the terminal.
