About The Station

The Gurun KTM Railway Station is a KTM train station located at and named after the town of Gurun, Kedah.

The construction of Gurun railway station is a part of the Bukit Mertajam - Alor Setar railway extension project started in late 1912 and completed in 1914.
Gurun Station was also the northern terminus of the KTM Komuter Northern Sector before it was moved to Padang Besar in July 2016.

 KTM ETS trains serve this Station.

Gurun is a town and a major industrial park situated in Kedah, Malaysia. Initially, the Perwaja Beam and Rolling Mill was set up. Modenas plant and Petronas Fertilizer plant were then followed. Now, Naza Automobiles also have their plant in Gurun.
